A High Priest Who Meets Our Needs
Hebrews 4:14-16:

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Our High Priest, Jesus, is the eternal Son who has entered into the very presence of God. We must never give up our faith in Him.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Sympathize with our weaknesses - He enables us to overcome sin because he overcame every form of temptation.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Throne of Grace - Jesus has made the throne of the universe a place where God's undeserving people receive His goodness. There we can find mercy - forgiveness - for sins, and grace to help us overcome temptations, just when we need it. Therefore we are encouraged to come boldly to the throne in prayer, expecting to receive what we need.
