"Even A Child..."
Proverbs 20:11
Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

In today's society, children are no longer known by their accomplishments but by their wrong doings . That's not what we should do, if you tell a child he or she is worthless guess what? They will probably end up that way, but tell a child he there is nothing he or she couldn't do they will reach for the stars.
Give them love, hope, encouragement, and a lot of forgiveness. Teach them as God has commanded.

1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Here we can find peace; He tells us that he has already taken care of our problems because He is greater than the world.
