A Much Needed Restoration

James 5:19-20:
19  Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

If any of you: it is possible for born-again Christians to fall back into sin and lose the joy of their fellowship with Christ but that doesn't mean that they have lost their salvation. The Christian brother's duty is to try to turn such a person back to Christ. Concern for the spiritual welfare of others is the responsibility of every Christian, not just the pastors.

20  Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

From death: spiritual death in this life and eternal life hereafter. Whenever a sinner confesses his sin and turns from his sinful ways, his sins are covered by the atonement of Christ.

I sincerely pray that you adhere to the word of Christ do NOT judge people, but if you find yourself in this situation. I pray that you handle it biblically.

We are to go to them first! If that doesn't work take another brother with you. If, and only then the problem cannot be worked out take them before the church, but remember there are no winners on this battlefield only losers.

Please pray do not do this out of hatred , but out of love and compassion for them and others who my be lead astray. Remember this could happen to you!

Matthew 26:41 says "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
